Family Science Night attracts 150 students, families

We had more than 150 students (K-5) and their families join us for a Camping Themed Science and Reading Night experience on Wednesday evening at “Camp East Union.”
Students visited five science stations centered around camping including making a s’mores solar oven, learning about camouflage and tree years of life, designing their own tent, and STEM activity where they made a waterproof tent and tested it out by spaying the tent with a spray bottle to simulate rain.
Families were also able to enjoy a meal from “The Campers’ Canteen” - including hot dogs, pasta salad, and chips. It was delicious!
There were also read alouds around the campfire in the library! Each student left with a camper backpack containing a flashlight and a first aid kit!
